The management and control activities conducted under the permit are intended to relieve or prevent injurious situations only.

Who Needs It

Permits are only issued when it will contribute to human health and safety, protect personal property, or allow resolution or prevention of injury to people or property. If you are a landowner, homeowner’s association, public land manager, or local government in the lower 48 states or the District of Columbia, you may register at the Resident Canada Goose Registration site for federal authorization to destroy resident Canada goose nests and eggs on property under your jurisdiction. If your activity requires a Federal Depredation Permit, please see information about our Depredation Permit.
