Successful partnership between the City of Panama City, Florida and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will allow for habitat improvement and augmentation of protected Panama City Crayfish on several public city park sites.

Students from Florida State University visited the Panama City Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office for a career shadow day to learn about agency programs and job opportunities.

"BLM Eastern States and its partners conducted a prescribed burn at Lathrop Bayou in the Florida Panhandle with a goal of reducing ground fuel vegetation over 561 acres of public and private land and improving the habitat for imperiled plants and animals." - Eric Dehm, BLM Public Affairs Specialist

Habitat conditions will improve for the Panama City Crayfish with help from timber cleanup funds.
