About Jess Newton
Jess Newton is Project Leader for the USFWS Arizona Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office (AZFWCO), a complex of three sub-offices in Flagstaff, Whiteriver, and Parker, Arizona. Jess has over 23 years with the USFWS and served in the Fish and Aquatic Conservation Program (Arizona and California), Ecological Services (Pacific Islands), and extended details in Refuges (North Dakota), and the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program (D.C.). During this period, Jess spent time working for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, serving as project manager for Superfund sites in Arizona and California focusing on remediation of contaminated drinking water aquifers. Jess’s early career as a fish biologist Included working for Nevada Department of Wildlife and the U.S. Geological Survey. Jess attended college at Humboldt State University (Arcata, CA) and Multnomah University (Portland, OR).
