About Gigi Otten

Gigi Otten is a public affairs specialist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since beginning her career with the Service in 2023, Gigi has served as the communications lead for the Service's Science Applications Program and the Midwest's work on the National Fish Passage Program, providing media relations support and creating compelling written and visual content for both internal and external audiences. She has since taken on communications for the Sea Lamprey Control Program and Grasslands Conservation. She has a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.S. in Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology from the University of Minnesota. Gigi is a native Minnesotan and passionate advocate for the state’s wild things and wild places.
