Facility Rules and Policies

Unusual among Refuges, Midway also supports an ETOPS (Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Preformance Standards) runway, known as Henderson Field, which can serve as an emergency landing strip for aircraft transiting the Pacific. A partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration makes this possible.

Aircraft Service Fees

Note: as of 11/2012 PMDY can not support transient aircraft. PPRs will not be accepted at this time for transient aircraft service or support.For airport inquiries please call Henderson Field Airport at 808-674-1237 or 808-954-4829.

For emergency landings, attended hours are 1900Z-0400Z/0800L-1700L, Mon- Fri. Major credit cards and SF-44 forms are accepted for the payment. Air Cards are not accepted. Arrivals more than 2 hours early/late will be assessed a fee in addition to normal fees at the rate of $400.00 per one hour.

The Refuge Manager and/or Deputy Refuge Manager has the authority to change, modify, add or subtract any charges as necessary to meet the purpose of the mission for the Service, Station, or to make special accommodations as needed.
