
Saltwater fishing is permitted year-round in the estuarine waters adjacent to the refuge. Bank fishing into estuarine waters is permitted year-round, from sunrise to sunset. Available species include bluefish, spotted seatrout, flounder, red drum, spot, striped bass, weakfish, tarpon, croaker and saltwater catfish. Freshwater fishing is prohibited. A Georgia fishing license and a Saltwater Information Program (SIP) permit are required. Barbour River Landing (boat ramp and parking area) is open 24 hours, with a not-to-exceed-72-hours limit.
