USFWS Draft Restoration Plan for the Oahu Sugar Site: Middle Loch, Pearl Harbor

The Oahu Sugar Company, Ltd.  operated sugar cane fields and associated facilities on the island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. Over the years, related activities at the site, including storage, mixing, and loading of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, resulted in the release of hazardous substances into the environment. Historic releases of hazardous substances at the site on Walker Bay, Pearl Harbor, resulted in injuries to natural resources including plants and other habitats. This Draft Restoration Plan for the Oʻahu Sugar Comprehensive Environmental Remediation, Compensation, and Liability Act has been prepared by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for the federal natural resource trustees responsible for restoring natural resources and resource services injured by releases of hazardous substances at the Oʻahu Sugar Site at Pearl Harbor.
