Smoke layer blankets central Saskatchewan during a banding reconnaissance flight in early August as part of the 2024 Waterfowl Banding Operations. Aircraft are used to help banding crews locate waterfowl concentrations and to transport personnel, gear, and supplies to remote banding stations.
