Lower Amargosa Wetlands

The lower Amargosa wetlands are highly seasonal. This is a shot of what they look like in January when virtually all vegetation has senesced. Peak production of bulrush is in mid-August and early September, while production of saltgrass peaks in late July to mid-August.
