Three immature swans swim by at Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. Nearly 20 species of ducks historically have nested on or near the refuge. The most common breeders are the American Wigeon, Mallard, Northern Shoveler, Northern Pintail, Green-winged Teal, and Scaup. Both Tundra and Trumpeter Swans breed in the refuge. Greater White-fronted and Canada Geese breed near riparian corridors.
